What is the role?

We are seeking an experienced full-time IT Engineer to join our team as a Technical Consultant. The role will be responsible for providing expert guidance to clients, offering top-tier technical support, the delivery of professional services and assisting the recovery activities of clients of whom have been the subject of a cyber attack.

 

The role includes analysing client requirements, formulating effective solutions, delivering consultations, and supporting sales efforts by offering technical insights and recommendations.

What does the day to day look like?

IT Support at a 2nd/3rd Line Level

  • Monitor and manage backup solutions

  • Monitor and manage Client IT infrastructure via RMM

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Technical Delivery Team

  • Maintain an internal and external Knowledgebase to support internal colleagues and clients

Automation Ownership

  • The product owner for our Automation Platform

  • Responsible for creating new automations and maintaining the existing environment

  • Identifying new use cases for automation to drive operational efficiency for our clients


Professional Services

  • Assist the Professional Services Department with the scoping, execution, and delivery of Professional Services(projects)Engineer lead projects covering Network Infrastructure/Azure/AVD/Cloud

  • Cyber Recovery

  • Assist the Cyber Recovery department in recovering clients that have been attacked

  • Full rebuilds of; Network Infrastructure/Firewalls/Domain Controllers/RDS Estates/Cloud Environments

  • Forensics of compromised kit


What we'd like to see from you

  • 2nd/3rd Line Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills for resolving technical issues and ensuring system reliability

  • Strong automation experience; Jinja/Powershell/Graph API/CSS/Cron Jobs

  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities

  • Relevant IT certifications or experience (e.g., CompTIA/ITIL/AZ900/AZ104/MS102/SC900/SC200/AZ500, or similar)

  • Flexibility and a customer-centric approach to address diverse client needs.

 

What you'll get from us

  • Salary - £37,000-£42,000
